FAQ

Questions about remote jobs on HRjobs

Short, direct answers about finding remote work from any country, applying, getting paid and staying safe.

FAQ

Finding a remote job

Location rules, beginners and working hours.

What does "worldwide remote" mean on HRjobs?

It means the employer will hire you from any country. Many "remote" jobs online are limited to one country or region. On HRjobs every job shows exactly where you can work from: Worldwide, Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) or APAC (Asia-Pacific).

Can I get a remote job from Pakistan, India, Nigeria or the Philippines?

Yes. Filter by "Worldwide" or by your region to see only jobs that accept applicants where you live. Each listing also shows how you get paid, for example Wise, Payoneer, Deel or an employer of record, so you know you can receive the money before you apply.

Are there remote jobs for beginners with no experience?

Yes. Customer support, virtual assistant, data annotation and content moderation roles often hire entry-level candidates. Use the "Entry level" filter. Expect more competition for these roles, so a short, specific application helps.

What is timezone overlap and why does it matter?

Overlap is the number of working hours you share with your team. A job can be open worldwide but still expect you online during US mornings. HRjobs shows the required overlap on every job, and the timezone checker on this page shows how a job's hours fit your day.

FAQ

Applying and getting paid

What happens after you click Apply.

How do I apply for a job on HRjobs?

Open the job and click “Apply Now”. You apply directly on the employer's own application page or by email, so your application goes straight to the company. HRjobs doesn't collect CVs or forward applications.

How do international remote employers pay?

Most pay through Wise, Payoneer, Deel, Remote.com or an employer of record (EOR), or pay you as an independent contractor by bank transfer. Each listing shows the payment method when the employer states it. Check that you can receive that method in your country before you apply.

What's the difference between a contractor and an employee?

A contractor invoices the company and handles their own taxes; there are usually no paid benefits. An employee, often hired through an employer of record, gets a local contract with payroll taxes and benefits handled for them. The job type on each listing tells you which to expect.

Why doesn't every job show a salary?

We only show a salary when the employer publishes one. We never estimate pay, so if a listing says “Salary not stated”, ask about the range early in the process.

FAQ

Trust and safety

How we check jobs and what to do if something looks wrong.

Is HRjobs free for job seekers?

Yes. Searching and applying through the employer's application link is free.

How do you check that a job is real?

Each listing is reviewed before it goes live. We check the company's website and domain, the stated location rules and the salary range. We reject any job that asks applicants for money, so you'll never be asked to pay to apply or to buy equipment.

What should I do if a job asks me for money?

Stop and don't pay. Real employers never charge you to apply, train or buy equipment. Report the listing using the “Report this job” link on the job page, and if you've already paid, contact your bank immediately.

What happens when a job expires or is filled?

It leaves job listings, search and the sitemap automatically. If you open an old link, the page tells you the job is no longer accepting applications and links to similar open roles.
